it was drizzling a little so i ducked into this coffee shop i’d never noticed before and it was like stepping into a hug the walls were dark green and there was a huge squishy armchair in the corner that practically had my name on it i ordered a vanilla latte with extra foam and it came in this big ceramic mug that felt heavy and real i just sank into that chair and pulled out my notebook with the doodles on the cover the rain made everything outside look soft and blurry like a painting i watched a barista laugh with a regular an old man reading a thick novel and a girl studying with headphones on so focused i started drawing them not their faces just their vibes the shapes of their postures and the steam from their cups my latte went cold but i didn’t even care because my pages filled up with little sketches of quiet people having their own little days a man came in with a wet dog they sat by the door and the dog sighed the deepest sigh and i drew that too it wasn’t an adventure or anything big just a few hours where i felt completely peaceful and hidden in my cozy corner watching the world be softly alive😋
